The "Survey on the Use of Cafes and Coffee Shops (2021)" was conducted among men and women aged 20-69 nationwide. Many people use cafes and coffee shops not only to drink good coffee and other drinks, but also for work and socializing. This year's survey asked respondents about the types of cafes and coffee shops they usually use, how they use and enjoy cafes and coffee shops, what they consider important when choosing the cafes and coffee shops they usually use, and the feelings they get from using cafes and coffee shops.

- 50% of respondents use national chain cafes and coffee shops on a daily basis.
Men use it in the morning and women use it at lunchtime.

Survey Result Topics
43.6% of male respondents said they do not usually go to cafes and coffee shops. <Figure 1>
In terms of the feelings gained from using the stores, many respondents commented that it is a refreshing change of pace when they are busy, and that it allows them to relax and get away from their daily routines. <Figure 2>

Men were more likely than women to use mornings (24.5%), while women were more likely than men to use lunchtime hours. <Figure 3>
