Recruiting

Recruiting is the process of selecting individuals whose opinions will be gathered for a marketing survey.
There are two main recruiting methods: the Referral method, which relies on personal connections and introductions by researchers and others, and web-based recruiting, which uses affiliated panels.

Based on the client's request, we screen participants according to the research objectives and select those who meet the required criteria.
This process is used to recruit participants for research methods such as group interviews, depth interviews, venue surveys (CLT), and home use tests (HUT).

Types of Recruiting Methods

Web Recruiting

We recruit from a survey panel of over 10 million people—the largest in Japan.
Using a web-based screening questionnaire, we narrow down candidates based on specific conditions.
Those who agree to participate are reconfirmed by phone, then surveyed on the scheduled day.
This method is ideal for research requiring detailed pre-screening and confirmation.

Referral Recruiting

We find suitable candidates through personal connections and referrals.
This method often results in a lower cancellation rate on the day of the survey.
Depending on conditions, it may be more cost-effective than web recruiting.
It's also useful for sourcing experts who are not part of survey panels.

On-the-Street Recruiting

In this method, potential participants are approached in person on the street and asked to join the survey.
Unlike pre-arranged web or Referral recruiting, this occurs on the same day as the survey.
It is commonly used for CLT surveys, especially when target conditions are not highly specific.
Pros: Cost-effective
Cons: Limited survey duration, and permission to conduct this method is restricted to certain cities.
